🌃 Welcome to WEHack 2026!

⭒ What is WEHack, and what is its goal?

Hello! We are so excited that you are hacking with us on April 11th and 12th!

WEHack (Women Engineers Hack) 2026 is UT Dallas' gender-focused hackathon. At WEHack, our goal is to create an inclusive environment that empowers women, non-binary individuals, and students of all underrepresented backgrounds through technology.

⭒ What can I get out of participating in WEHack?

You will be able to pick up new technical skills from our workshops and mentors, participate in fun mini-events, network with our corporate sponsors, and even build a cool project that you can add to your resume! Check out our schedule below for more information on workshops and other events.

⭒ What if I’m new to hackathons?

Our hackathon is beginner-friendly, so no matter what your skill level is prior to attending WEHack, you will fit right in! Make sure to attend the workshops mentioned in the "Workshop Info" section to learn the fundamentals and gain confidence as you dive into WEHack. We will also have technical mentors on site during the entire hackathon for assistance.

⭒ What if I still need a team?

Team formation is happening on Discord! Walking around ECSW and finding people who need a team is a great way to get started, but you can also use the channel #teambuilding-introductions on Discord to introduce yourself and find people who still need a teammate. During the sponsor fair, starting at 8:45 AM, we will also have a team-building event where you can meet people in the ECSW Courtyard!
